Student preparing term papers may use the photographs found on wedigboats.org without charge or further permission. Proper credit should be given as "Photograph by Ralph K. Pedersen" or similar as required.

Masters theses may require written permission from the photographer. Check with your university for current guidelines. There is no charge for use in master’s theses that will be otherwise unpublished. Credit as above.

Doctoral dissertations require written permission, but there is no charge. To request permission to use a photograph, email rkpedersen@yahoo.com. Credit as above.

Photographs from wedigboats.org may be used without charge in journal articles and scholarly non-profit books, but permission is required. An offprint of the article in which the photograph is used must be sent to me. Likewise, a photocopy of the chapter of the book—along with the title page please-- is required. (If you are feeling generous, the whole book is appreciated!) Email rkpedersen@yahoo.com for further details.

Permission to use any photograph in a popular, for-profit venue must be secured before use. The normal charge for this is 100 US Dollars plus a copy of the issue or book in which the photograph(s) appears (no photocopies, please!). For more information email Dr. Pedersen at rkpedersen@yahoo.com.

Ordered photographs will be sent via email, or if necessary by CD-rom for a materials and shipping charge of 5 US Dollars.
